Privacy Policy

Summary

We collect as little as possible: your email address and the deal interests you choose, so we can send you the digest. We don't sell or rent your data.

What we collect

• Newsletter: your email address, the interests and price limits you choose, and subscription records (when you signed up and confirmed, when we last emailed you, unsubscribe status).
• Contact form: the name, email and message you send us.
• Technical data: our web server temporarily processes your IP address and basic request information to deliver the site, prevent abuse (rate limiting) and keep it secure.
• In your browser: your chosen interests are saved in your browser's localStorage so the feed stays personalized. This stays on your device and isn't sent to us unless you subscribe or save preferences. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use it

• To send the confirmation email and the daily digest you asked for, and to honor your interests and unsubscribe requests.
• To reply to messages you send us.
• To prevent spam and abuse, and to keep the site running.

Who we share it with

• Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES) delivers our emails, and processes your email address and message content for that purpose.
• Our hosting provider (DigitalOcean) stores the site and its database.
• We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we don't share it with retailers or advertisers.
• When you click a deal you go to the retailer's own website, where their privacy policy applies. Affiliate links may let a retailer or affiliate network know the visit came from us (see our disclosure).
• We may disclose information if required by law.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe anytime with the link in every email.
• Change your interests with the "Manage preferences" link in any digest.
• Access or deletion: to get a copy of your data or have it deleted, email contact@redactedarmory.com or use the contact form and tell us the address you subscribed with.
• Clear your browser's site data to remove locally stored interests.

Retention & security

We keep subscriber records while you're subscribed and for a limited time after you unsubscribe so we can honor the unsubscribe; deletion requests remove them. Contact messages are kept as long as needed to respond. We use HTTPS and limit access to our servers, but no system is perfectly secure.

Children

This site is for adults and isn't directed to anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from minors.
